The Eagle Bay Inn was both comfortable and rustic to make for a great local stay with very friendly & kind hosts in Vicki and staff. Did one night here when we arrived a day early for a cruise to relax and explore Sitka a bit on our own. This hotel is well situated to offer quiet nature with easy access to town. The price was sweet and the hotel a great value. I would stay again. Our room was clean, homey, and the beds were very comfortable. Bathroom likewise had clean and modern facilities. Most floors in the room were carpeted and it was well-maintained. Think clean aged motor inn, not sleek modern chain hotel and you will be close to the mark. We got the better room with water view, worth the premium! Had an incredible bay view and though it faces the road it was quiet day and night. There was no A/C control in the room we could find but the temperature was just fine without it during our brief visit. Ravens and other wildlife, numerous fishing boats, were all easily visible from our room and at one point we even saw our expedition ship anchor offshore. Vicky, the kind woman who runs the place, is a treasure trove of information and very welcoming. Kind but no-nonsense, she is also who picked us up at the airport. Vicky was already waiting for us as we went to the single baggage claim. The included van service, picking us up at the airport and taking us to our ship the next day worked perfectly and was flexible and kind, accommodating our schedule and the schedule of others staying at the Eagle Bay Inn. There are restaurants and a coffee shop within walking distance as is an amazing national forest with a clearly marked path that is a shortcut to downtown Sitka, allowing lovely nature walks into town. It is just a short Uber ride back from town should you get tired. The continental store-bought breakfast options were more than generous, the coffee fresh, delicious and plentiful, everything given with a whole heart. Numerous food choices, some literally in the b

I absolutely adore staying here!!! I can't say enough good. I read reviews before booking and the reviews were great, however, when I googled the location and saw "street view" I hesitated just because it wasn't what I thought a "typical" inn should look like. Well, I went back and read more reviews and decided to try it, and let me tell you.... never judge a book by it's google street view!!!! I personally prefer a smaller, quieter non touristy place to stay, so this was an absolute gem for me. Everything in town is a reasonable walk or short ride away, but still not so in the middle of it that you see and smell people and restaurants every time you step outside. The area is a pleasant mix of smaller businesses, some residential buildings, and then the beautiful water across the road. The staff has been so pleasant and kind, and the shuttle service is really a fantastic offering that can't be beat. This is the perfect blend of a traditional hotel and a quaint bed and breakfast. There are just under 20 rooms, everything is spotless and clean, but inviting. The 24/7 availability of cold, breakfast type foods like bagels, pastries, and yogurt is a huge bonus, since flights come and go at crazy times and circadian rhythms go crazy with travel, so having the munchies at 4 am local time is easily and conveniently managed without having to go out (nothing would be open anyways) or think ahead and shop. We haven't even gotten into the rooms yet... but, oh, the room!!! My room was tastefully themed northern lights. The beds are comfortable and the pillows and blankets are of good variety and quantity to meet almost any needs. The room was spotless. I mean spotless. And not just the major things, but even the little details. I took photos I am hoping to post in some reviews, but things like the shower were even perfect, with zero discoloration, caulking spotless and white, and even the top rim of the shower wall was clean as a whistle (next time you are in a hotel run yo

Great location. Easy shuttle pick up from the airport. There are many 10/10 reviews on Expedia. Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Snacks all day. Friendly staff. But the best part is the short walk across the street to the Sitka Nat’l park. We were coming for a cruise the next day and this was the perfect start of the trip.

A literal home away from home! Gorgeous views, great location, and an amazing host! The airport shuttle was an amazing plus, and the breakfast was available all day which was good with the few flights at different hours throughout the day coming in and flying out. The view of the ocean was amazing, and the host even made sure we got a close up of an Eagle on the way out! We spent a day in the beautiful town, and we were able to walk through the national park and all through town with no issues. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Sitka, we were able to have a better experience than planned because of the memorable host and location!

Our stay at the Eagle Bay Inn could not have been better if I asked. My family and I were there for a month while we waited for housing and Vicki, the owner, made her hotel feel like home. There was always a warm smile on her face when we went down for breakfast. If you needed something it was always completed in a timely manner. My room was always cleaned and equipped with everything that I needed. The staff was amazing as well. I was locked out of the hotel once after regular hours and a front desk person immediately responded and was there to let me in within minutes. Honestly could not recommend this place more! You’ll have a hard time finding a place that feels more like home away from home.

This is a family owned Inn, and, you are truly treated like family. If I'm ever in Sitka and it's still owned by Vicki and staffed with Laila and Kyle, I'm staying here again! Laila is one of the most observant and kind and patient people …
